Every item deserves to come home.
Safe Belongings started with a simple observation: the things we rely on go missing more often than we'd like, and the tools to bring them back either expose too much of us, or ask too much of the helper. We wanted a calmer answer.
What we make
A software subscription platform that gives every physical item a secure digital identity. Each identity can be represented by a printable QR label, using our downloadable PDF templates. You print them at home or through any printer or label supplier you choose. Safe Belongings does not currently print or ship physical labels.
The platform includes a secure temporary portal for anonymous, respectful communication between you and whoever finds your item.
First we're serving parents and families, because that's where the mental load is highest. Over time we'll extend into seniors, businesses, schools, and licensing partners.
What we stand for
Privacy by default
Owner details are never printed on the label and never shown to a helper. All contact happens through a secure, temporary portal.
Universal by design
One digital identity per item, any item. No specialised hardware, no app for the helper, no lock-in to a single brand of thing.
Calm and practical
We avoid loud alerts, tracking anxieties, and manufactured urgency. Digital identities quietly stand by until you need them.
Built to reuse
Digital identities are reassignable. When one item's life ends, the identity's doesn't. Less waste, less setup, more longevity.
Where we're based
Designed and operated in Australia, with privacy practices aligned to the Australian Privacy Act and the GDPR. Data is stored securely with reputable providers, and we build for the smallest reasonable data footprint.
